Peak Prep Academy course levels

Peak Prep Academy Academy’s comprehensive curriculum provides students with a strong base to chart their own course to college and beyond.

  • Core courses are similar to the standard courses offered by many other programs. They meet all academic requirements for each course area both for graduation as well as for potential admission into a wide range of colleges.
  • Honors courses provide students with a more comprehensive and demanding course of study. Success in these courses translates into better-prepared students and college credits that may be applied to university and college credits.
  • Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level courses that follow curriculum specified by the College Board. Success in these courses translates into better-prepared students and college credits that may be applied to university and college credits
  • Credit Recovery (CR) courses are designed for students that have previously attempted a course but did not have any luck passing.  If your student is headed directly into a 4 year college right after graduation these courses are not recommended.  However, if your student is headed to a community college, trade school, or into the workforce right after graduation then our CR courses are the best option.  These are shortened versions of the course, and take less time to successfully complete.
